Release 5.55.1 ================ New/Modified Features ============ 5.55.1:F01 Local Language Support, ability to change the cameras user interface to other languages than English. 5.55.1:F02 Edge Storage Disruption Detection, ability to be notified when Edge Storage detects disruptions that may need administrative attention, typically disk unavailable, read/write error, disk full or disk locked. 5.55.1:F03 Text Overlay character set extension, ability to use non-western characters in the video text overlay. Note that Right-to-left languages (e.g. Arabic) are not supported. 5.55.1:F04 Text Overlay Font Size, ability to select three different font sizes for the video text overlay in order to increase readability, especially for high resolution video. 5.55.1:F05 ONVIF Profile S conformance. The ONVIF Profile S replaces the ONVIF Version 1.02. 5.55.1:F06 Text Overlay Message Action, a camera action that provides a way to display in the image a user defined message in the text overlay upon a detected event. 5.55.1:F07 Email/SSL Recipient, ability for the camera to connect to common email services. The camera includes predefined profiles for e.g. Gmail and Hotmail. 5.55.1:F08 HTTPS Recipient, systems using HTTP notifications from the camera can now do this in a secure way over HTTPS. 5.55.1:F09 Upload Video Clip Action, ability to upload a video clip to an FTP server or an email recipient upon an event. Note that a media player with support for H.264 and Matroska File Format (MKV) is required to play the clip. 5.55.1:F10 Live Stream Access Detection, it is now possible to notify people that someone is actively monitoring a camera. 5.55.1:F11 Edge Storage Device Redundancy, ability to automatically switch recording device between SD Card and NAS if one device detects disruption. 5.55.1:F12 System Ready Event, ability to get notified when the camera has booted and all services are initialized. 5.55.1:F13 Virtual Inputs, used by clients to initiate Action Rules in the camera. Virtual Inputs extends the existing "Manual Trigger" with 32 additional virtual inputs which could be executed through the webservice API. 5.55.1:F14 AXIS ACAP Applications, the behavior for AXIS Cross Line Detection 1.x and AXIS Video Motion Detection 2.x has been improved making it less prone to false detection on small objects. 5.55.1:F15 Centralized Certificate Management, certificates for HTTPS and 802.1x are now managed in one place. The firmware also includes a number of pre-installed CA certificates such as Verisign, Thawt and GeoTrust. 5.55.1:F16 Improved Constant Bitrate Control, the Constant Bit Rate (CBR) will now adjust to target bit rate quicker. 5.55.1:F17 SSH (Secure Shell), a command line interface is added to the camera that may be used for specific support and maintenance activities. Known Bugs/Limitations ====================== 5.55.1:L01 Not possible to view live or recorded video in Internet Explorer 10 Modern UI in Microsoft Windows 8. 5.55.1:L02 When using limited bandwidth modifier #r shows wrong value. 5.55.1:L03 Video performance might be degraded when network logging and ip address filtering are enabled at the same time. Disable the log (http://cam_IP/admin/config.shtml?group=Network) to increase performance. 5.55.1:L04 Removing and reinserting SD card during recording is not recommended. 5.55.1:L05 Multiple simultaneous recordings to SD cards and network shares can degrade the performance of the system. 5.55.1:L06 Windows Network Shares do not handle all modifiers e.g. %c, since modifiers are UNIX standard. 5.55.1:L07 To avoid corrupt recordings, it is recommended to unmount the SD Card before ejecting it. 5.55.1:L08 Video overlay text size is a global setting and can not be set for each stream profile. 5.55.1:L09 If text overlay is more than 460 characters long, no text will be displayed. 5.55.1:L10 Live view does not work with QuickTime player using default settings. Workaround: Disable Direct3D acceleration in Quicktime.
