          Important:

          -  The 6.00 print server software requires an upgrade to 
             NetPilot 2.61 or better.

          -  When upgrading a unit that has a software revision lower than
             5.36, the print server will set all parameter values back to
             factory defaults.

             Please save the config file before performing upgrade.


          Easy Release Description:

           1. New web pages have been added.

           2. Support for Axis Print System has been added.

           3. Support for NetWare Pure IP has been added.

           4. Support for Dynamic DNS has been added.

           5. The DHCP Enable / Disable parameter is now precious.

           6. Changed account file format.

           8. The printer information visible on the internal WWW-pages
              and in NetPilot are now updated directly after start-up.

         Appendix A   -  DETAILED TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF RELEASE  App A

          Products involved: AXIS 640, AXIS 660

          Software version: 6.00

          1.  New embedded WWW-pages have been added. The WWW-browsers 
              Netscape Navigator / Netscape Communicator v3.x and later or
              Internet Explorer 3.x and later are supported. 
              JavaScript should be enabled.

           2. Axis Print System, which supported by the 6.00 firmware, helps
              users to easily find and install printers on a network.
              SLP (Service Location Protocol) version 2 has been added to the
              print servers for Axis Print System to localise the print 
              servers.

           3. The NetWare Pure IP support enables Dual Stack support.
              This means that both NetWare over IP and IPX can be used at the
              same time.

           4. Dynamic update support in Domain Name System (DNS) has been 
              added to the print server. Three new parameters has been added 
              for this purpose: Domain Name and DNS primary and secondary 
              server.
              The Dynamic update is done by the print server itself, by 
              informing the primary or secondary DNS server if the IP address 
              or host name is changed.
              The DNS server has to support dynamic updates from clients for 
              this to work.

           5. The DHCP Enable / Disable (DHCP_ENB) parameter does not change 
              by factory default anymore.

           6. The account header 'LPR' has been changed to 'PORT' to more
              clearly show the network print server port used for printing. 
              Additionally, the 'OTIME' entry has been removed.

           7. The product type was in earlier releases "Print Server". 
              This has now changed to "Network Print Server". 
              This is e.g. visible if using telnet or ftp to log in to the to 
              the network print server.

           8. The printer information is only available if the printer 
              supports bi-directional communication.

          Appendix B   - SOFTWARE LIMITATIONS                        App B

          1. Secondary printer function doesn't work when printing from AXPUW
             nor AXIS Print Monitor.

          2. The maximum number of simultaneous TCP connections is set to 200.
             If many users are monitoring the status or accounting web pages,
             all connections may under rare circumstances be consumed by the
             automatic refresh function. This can cause problems accepting new
             print jobs using TCP/IP printing protocols.

          3. Connecting a printer to a running print server causes a 30 
             seconds period when the print server is not accessible. The same 
             behaviour is experienced when changing a printer from LPT1 to LPT2 
             on a three port print server. 

          4. Serial port printing does not work properly when using XON/XOFF
             with some printer models.
