Bidirectional communication on the parallel port have been added according to IEEE 1284. Nibble and Byte modes are supported. Bidirectional support may be turned off setting the 'PRx_IN' parameter in the logical printer to 'NONE'. 2. Support for the HTTP-protocol have been added. When the function is activated by a WWW-browser a product home page is displayed, which in turn contains further links to AXIS Communications WWW-server. 3. AppleTalk, PROS and Reverse Telnet have been updated to support reverse data when printing on the parallel port. Printing works even if the printer doesn't support reverse data. 4. Support for TBCP, binary mode printing, have been added in the AppleTalk application. The TBCP support is activated by setting the parameters 'BINARY' to 'YES' and 'BINARY_TYPE' to 'TBCP', which is the default setting. 5. Although it may work in some applications, the AXIS 540+/542+ doesn't claim support for any other printer drivers than Laserwriter 7 and 8 in the AppleTalk environment. 2.
