UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
====================

The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 2.0, HTTP or FTP.
Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at
http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named
howtoupgrade.txt.

Modifications
=============

4.31:M01 Minor changes to Intelligent Video webpages.

4.31:M02 Failure to start a DSP application without a valid license will now
         also generate some feedback in the syslog.


Corrections in 4.31 since 4.30
==============================

4.31:C01 When a running DSP application was trying to register new parameters
         over the Param API from the Intelligent Video SDK, it could fail.
         Specially when registering many parameters with long names/values.
         This is now corrected.

4.31:C02 Major bug corrected in the output monitor CGI. This CGI is used to get
         status information about the IO ports. Specially the client software,
         AXIS Camera Station use this CGI to trigger events and
         video recordings.


Known limitations in 4.31
=========================

4.31:L01 Copying an event configuration does not work properly. Some parameters
         may not be copied correctly. Please verify each parameter value in the
         cloned event configuration.

4.31:L02 Motion detection windows are adjusted so that their width and height
         are divisible by 8 (pixels).

4.31:L03 When saving a snapshot image, some browsers (e.g. Mozilla) will fetch
         a new picture and the saved picture will not match the displayed
         snapshot.

4.31:L04 The Mozilla web browser does not always close the image stream
         properly when leaving the live view page. Restarting the stream can
         sometimes fail as well. Restarting Mozilla solves these two problems.

4.31:L05 The text overlay in a 90/270 degree rotated NTSC image is garbled in
         both MJPEG and MPEG-4 when the image width is not evenly divisible by
         16.

4.31:L06 Including format field #b or #B in text overlay will show incorrect
         bandwidth usage when frame rate is limited for Motion JPEG.

4.31:L07 Starting an IV module from the webinterface at the AXIS 242S IV
         may in rare cases failure. The user will be notified about the problem
         with an "internal error" message. The solution to the problem is to
         simply try start the IV module again.
