The total number of writes to the flash chip is limited. Use the ramdisk mounted on /tmp for all repeated file writes. New features in version 2.20 ============================ 2.20:1 New PTZ driver: Panasonic. 2.20:2 DHCP support. 2.20.3 Notification on IP change. 2.20:4 New shell-based applications (PHP3 still usable for advanced programming but might interfere with the shell script). Known limitations in version 2.20 ================================= 2.20:1 On dial-out with PPP and high baud rates, the unit might connect several times successively when using the optimised mode and several cameras (One should expect that the unit connects one time, sends all the pictures before closing the connection). A simple work around is to use the "close after" mode with some delay (approx. 10 seconds). 2.20:2 Maximum one PHP3 script may be run at any one time. 2.20:3 Ramdisk available for pre/post alarm buffer limited to 4 MB. Known problems in version 2.20 ============================== 2.20:1 The secondary DNS server is not correctly managed. 2.20:2 At dial-up, it is not possible to use a DNS name as the SMTP or FTP server if the DNS server is specified in the Network settings. Either use the IP address of the SMTP/FTP server or do not enter the DNS server in the Network settings. 2.20.3 The default user root have user rights ADVO. The O have no function and will be removed when the root password is changed. 2.20.4 The URL included in the body of the mail from the Video Server when using PPP, will not show the correct IP address. Best regards, Axis Communications.
