UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
====================

The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 2.0, HTTP or FTP.
Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at
http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named 
howtoupgrade.txt.

4.40.2:C01 The event handling has been updated for better performance.

4.40.2:C02 Improved performance when running several Motion JPEG clients.


Known limitations in 4.40.2
===========================

4.40.2:L01 During an HTTP upload, unnecessary log messages may appear and files
           may be missing in the uploaded file sequence.

4.40.2:L02 Rotated video streams are not rotated in Motion Detection setup.

4.40.2:L03 When starting a new live view stream or when getting a still image,
           running live view streams and events will be stopped for a short while.

4.40.2:L04 Copying an event configuration does not work properly. Some parameters
           may not be copied correctly. Please verify each parameter value in the
           cloned event configuration.

4.40.2:L05 Motion detection windows are adjusted so that their width and height
           are divisible by 8 (pixels).

4.40.2:L06 When saving a snapshot image, some web browsers (e.g. Mozilla) will
           fetch a new picture and the saved picture will not match the displayed
           snapshot.

4.40.2:L07 The Mozilla browser does not always close the image stream properly
           when leaving the live view page. Restarting the stream can sometimes
           fail as well. Restarting Mozilla solves these two problems.

4.40.2:L08 Viewing full screen and sequencing through different external video
           sources with different video streams in a sequence will switch full
           screen mode off.

4.40.2:L09 The AXIS Media Control may stop displaying the MPEG-4 stream after the
           screen saver has been active or the computer has been locked.
           Workaround: Reload the Live View page.

4.40.2:L10 If using dual screens and moving the AXIS Media Control window from 
           one screen to the other, the MPEG-4 stream may stop updating.
           Workaround: Reload the Live View page.

4.40.2:L11 No video is displayed when using the cameras IPv6 address when using the AMC 
           included with this firmware. At least version 5.4.17.5 must be used to utilize
           IPv6 and can be downloaded through AXIS Support webpages.

4.40.2:L12 When creating a manually triggered event to activate the output port, entering 
           a decimal number on "Keep active for" causes the port to be infinitely active. 
           Only use integer numbers.

4.40.2:L13 The behaviour for the event upload has changed compared to 4.40.1. When using 
           pre- and post-buffer, entering a too high framerate will cause no images at all being
           uploaded during an event upload, e.g. ftp-upload. This is due to the limited cache
           available, when cache becomes full the strategy for the event system is to throw 
           everything away.

4.40.2:L14 The option "Send notifications continously" is added to this service release but 
           neither fully working nor supported.

4.40.2:L15 When entering a correct static ip-address and pressing test results in a script 
           error. 

4.40.2:L16 Using longer names for upnp than 64 characters will truncate name to 64 
           characters.

4.40.2:L17 Using a bonjour name larger than 64 characters will make the camera not to show
           up in IPUtility.
