Last preceding release: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contact Information =================== Please contact Axis Communications for product information, updates and support at: http://www.axis.com Solutions to new problems and FAQ's are listed at: http://www.axis.com/techsup/ Installation ============ - It is very important that your system is up-to-date before attempting to install AXIS NVR Manager. Update your system by running Windows Update - If an existing installation is being upgraded with this version please consult the 'Upgrade consideration' section below before upgrading - If not already installed, Microsoft .NET 3.5 framework can be installed via Windows Update - Run the self-extracting AXIS NVR Manager setup file - Make sure you have full administrator rights on the computer you install on - After upgrade to this version it is not possible to downgrade to the previous version without a complete uninstallation. Uninstallation ============== - Run 'Uninstall' under Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove programs/ Recommendations =============== - Observe the hardware requirements for running AXIS NVR Manager. See users documentation at www.axis.com for details - Make sure used Axis devices run latest available firmware Known limitations ================= - The NVR user is called Administrator - If the date and time difference between the PC running Axis NVR Manager and the NVR is too large synchronize date and time to be able to log on the NVR. If the time difference is more than three (3) hours perform synchronization twice - After a factory default or a firmware upgrade has finished and has status OK the NVR must be rebooted to function correctly - Use the "Search for NVR devices" button to refresh the list of NVR's and their statuses - If storage error is reported, use the link to correct storage configuration and update the NVR status - Internet Explorer 8, if used for downloading the ".anf" file to use for "Reset to Factory Default", will rename the file ".zip". Change the file extension back to ".anf" otherwise the NVR Manager will not find the file when browsing for reset files.
