UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS
====================

Important upgrade instructions for cameras running version 5.01!
The upgrade to version 5.11.1 firmware or later upgrade must be preceeded by an upgrade to version 5.09 due to incompatibility between the version 5.01 and later firmware releases. 
Upgrading from version 5.01 to 5.10 or later directly will cause the upgrade to fail. Please read the release notes carefully. 

The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 2.0, HTTP or FTP.
Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at
http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named 
howtoupgrade.txt.

5.20:F01 Added embedded AVHS (Axis Video Hosting System) client.

5.20:F02 Functionality has been added making it possible for customer to upload 
         a customer logotype in the live view webpage.


Corrected problems
==================
5.20:C01 Improvements has been made to the "Exposure priority" setting causing the 
         value reverting to old value after pressing "save".

5.20:C02: SPS/PPS data available in the H264 stream.

5.20:C03: Trigger data available in the H264 stream.


Known bugs
==========

5.20:L01 When using manually triggered events it's possible to trigger event number
         two on top of event number one. If for example activating an ouput port for
         10 seconds, waiting 5 seconds then activating the event again will cause port  
         to be active for another 10 seconds after the first event has elapsed. Activating 
         the trigger more than two times won't have any effect.  
5.20:L02 During automatic license installation, using a information with swedish letters
         å, ä, ö will not work. The server will respond with "400 Bad Request". This is 
         because of the browser encoding these letters as iso-8859-1 and not UTF-8. 

5.20:L03 In Internet Expolorer 7 or 8 if one forgets to enter an application when using 
         application trigger a script error occur.

5.20:L04 When using remote desktop or vmware: It is not possible to configure any lines, 
         windows or polygons when streaming with rtsp.

5.20:L04 RTSP server is limited to use URL's no longer than 3000 bytes.

5.20:L05 When a meta-data stream is started the second time there might be old images in 
         the first burst.  

5.20:L06 In the webpage for setting root password the link to the helpage doesn't work. 

5.20:L07 WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) is not mentioned in the help pages.

5.20:L08 Multicast for ipv6 will only work if ipv4 is enabled.

5.20:L09 Sometimes camera takes long time to switch between black and white color.
         Workaround: set NoiseColorReduction to 0.

5.20:L10 The bitrate modifier just shows 0 in every snapshot taken with H.264 video format in live view.
         The bitrate modifier works in snapshots made with MJPEG.


Application Developer Information
=================================

The AXIS P3301 supports AXIS VAPIX API - Application Programming Interface version 3. 
Backwards compatibility is maintained as far as possible, but some changes have been necessary.

The following groups are still supported from the AXIS P3301 from
AXIS VAPIX HTTP API specification version 2, but discrepancies may occur.
For more information about version 2 please refer to AXIS VAPIX API available
at www.axis.com.
