FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES ====================== Products affected: AXIS M1054 Network Camera Release date: 2011-05-04 Release type: Production Firmware version: 5.21 File name: M1054_5_16.bin Preceding release: 5.16 AMC version: 5.9.10.0-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ==================== The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management, HTTP or FTP. Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. RELEASE 5.21 ============== New Features ============ 5.21:F01 Added ONVIF (Open Network Video Interface Forum) support including metadata streaming over RTSP/RTP. This includes streaming of event data, PTZ position and status data, and analytics data. Dynamic web services discovery protocol as specified in ONVIF standard, which follows WS-Discovery definitions (remote discovery will not be supported), is also included. 5.21:F02 Added support for 802.1x. 5.21:F03 Axis Camera Application Platform (ACAP) enabling third party developers (ADP partners) to develop, download and run their applications on Axis products is included. Corrections since 5.16 ====================== 5.21:C01 SPS/PPS, trigger data available in the H264 stream. 5.21:C02 Corrected problem with MPEG User data. 5.21:C03 Now there is no problem with FTP upload after some hours. 5.21:C04 Fixed issue with shttpclient does not work with password. 5.21:C05 Possible to have min 1 FPS when using CBR (Constant Bit Rate). Known limitations ================= 5.21:L01 SMTP authentication does not work with IPv6. 5.21:L02 In Internet Explorer 6, the live view may stop when pressing buttons in the live view interface. 5.21:L03 There is no error feedback when a corrupt uploaded audioclip is played. 5.21:L04 Limiting the bandwith to lower than 100kbit/s may lead to sporadically losing contact with the camera 5.15.1:L05 There haven been some problems with getting pictures in live view using QuickTime player version 7.6.4. Workaround: Use QuickTime 7.4.5 instead. 5.21:L06 Events triggered by multiple input ports may not always work. 5.21:L07 The camera can not play an audio clip while a viewer is sending/ receiving audio from to/from the camera. 5.21:L08 Having a rule in ACS which triggers the output on motion detection generates a log message "Failed to write to client when generating heartbeat. Broken pipe". Everything else works as expected. 5.21:L09 An uploaded audio clip must be less than 1.5MB. 5.21:L10 An uploaded bitmap overlay is made partially transparent unconditionally. 5.21:L11 With audio enabled, the initial connection latency is increased. 5.21:L12 Maximum brightness will not result in a white image. 5.21:L13 Stream profile names are limited to alphanumerical characters. 5.21:L14 When an event or event server is added, modified or deleted all running events will be stopped and restarted. 5.21:L15 If RTSP authentication is switched off, streaming H.264 with QuickTime and other Apple compatible clients will not work as they require authentication of the RTSP, but do not allow HTTP authentication. 5.21:L16 Bitmap images have more contrast than the corresponding JPEG images. 5.21:L17 When the camera is in RFL-mode (after a failed upgrade), flash loading it with Firefox will sometimes not work. Use Internet Explorer instead. 5.21:L18 If you do both unregister and register to Axis Internet Dynamic DNS really fast, a critical message will be shown in the log: "Failed to write to file. Broken pipe." 5.21:L19 When you redefine the HOME position and remove it, the preset position will not be deleted. It will be saved as Home. 5.21:L20 The first AAC-packet received from the camera sometimes look like this: "00 10 07 c8 01 40 40 06 fe 50 00 00 00 00 00 ...." and more zeroes until the AU length is reached. 5.21:L21 While AMC installation pressing "View Certificate" in "Digital Signature Details" mentions expired validation date for AAC and H.264.
