This can be done by uploading the config.ini file via FTP, see the User's Manual. - This version is intended for AXIS 7000 with part no: 0094-xxx-01 Release Description: =================== New scanner drivers: - Fujitsu M3091DC - Fujitsu M3092DC - Fujitsu M4097G in M3097 mode - Epson Expression 1600 - Epson GT-10000 - Epson Perfection 1200S - Epson GT-9600 - Epson GT-7600 - and other Epson scanners supporting ESC/I New feature: - A scan counter functionality has been added to make it possible to monitor the use of the scanning device and enabling service companies to build services around the scanning ‘Clicks’. This counter will count the number of scanned documents regardless of size and profile used. The counter consists of a total and a temporary counter. A new user called ‘Service’ controls the counters. To enter the 'service' mode add 'service' after the name IP number of the unit. Example: http://10.13.4.16/service/ Default User and Password is 'service'. For application integration the counter information can be read in plain text. Corrected problems: - Renaming of existing profiles - Entering file name on the fly sometimes not shown - LDAP authentication - Entered temporary e-mail subject became session default - Maximum paper length in ADF on Fujitsu and Ricoh scanners lengthen beyond A3 - '-' character was not valid for file name - Character handling when adding filename on the fly - When an XML DD 'AlwaysAsk' section define a output format and/or a predefined destination, this destination did not receive anything - List of supported devices updated Known problems: - For Ricoh Aficio 401 based machines the scan mode must be activated on the digital copier before the AXIS 7000 is booted. - For Ricoh Afico 401 based machines papers must be inserted upside down in ADF to get scanned images in correct order. - Scanning PDF files to Internet Explorer with releases before 5.0 does not work. - Saving JPEG images in Internet Explorer does not work without reload, which will result in a second scanning. - For Digital Copiers, except Sharp, every second page will be scanned upside down when scanning in duplex. The PDF rotate option solve this for the PDF file format. - Transparency adapter for HP6390C scanner is currently not supported. - Transparency adapters for Epson scanners are currently not supported. - Some advanced regular expressions for the XML support have been modified. - When doing a web scan some users may encounter the problem that the scanning can not be stopped using the STOP button in the web browser. This problem occurs using Netscape 4.72 (at least) with proxy configuration. By switching to "Direct connection to Internet" or manually bypass the proxy server this problem could be avoided. - Drag and drop of the config.ini file does not work with some versions of Netscape Navigator and some OS. - If NT authentication is used the sender e-mail address is sometimes not shown correctly. - Profile with PDF-JPEG on Ricoh IS450D does not work. Recommendation: - For Ricoh Aficio 340/350/450 based machines it is recommended to decrease the System Reset time on the copier to 10 seconds to earlier free the machine after scanning has been finished. - As the default e-mail reply address in the AXIS 7000 is blank it might be necessary to set it to a valid address to avoid mails being rejected as spam by some mail servers. - For correct date of last reset for the temporary scan counter it is necessary to have the correct date set in 'admin' mode and also reset the temporary scan counter in 'service' mode.
