Autoiris / Autofocus
Auxiliary Commands
where n is the auxiliary function (or argument) and t is an optional argument stating how long (in ms) the command should be repeated for. If the time argument is absent, the command is sent to the unit only once.
Some auxiliary commands bring up an on-screen-display menu. This menu can be navigated using the up/down/left/right buttons (or a joystick). An iris command usually returns from the menu. For a list of available auxiliary (remote control) commands, please see the manual for the Philips unit.

Parameter | Description | Range |
Device ID | This is the address of the connected device. This value corresponds to the value of the address switches in the connected device. | 1-16384 |
Parameter | Description | Range |
Flip pan | If set to true, relative pan operations will be inverted | true, false |
Flip tilt | If set to true, relative tilt operations will be inverted | true, false |
Parameter | Description | Range |
Back light compensation | Set to true to use the back light compensation. | true, false |
Parameter | Description | Range |
Move pan per degree | The calibration constant for panning. Higher values give greater movements. Calibrate at the most commonly used speed, by adjusting the value until a 360 degree pan request (i.e. "rpan=360") pans 360 degrees exactly. | 1-3000 |
Move tilt per degree | The calibration constant for tilting. Higher values give greater movements. Calibrate at the most commonly used speed, by adjusting the value until a 90 degree tilt request (i.e. "rpan=90") tilts 90 degrees exactly. | 1-3000 |
Zoom speed | The current zoom speed. | 1-7 |
Zoom per unit | The calibration constant for zooming. Higher values give greater zoom changes. Calibrate at the most commonly used zoom speed, by confirming that a maximum zoom request performs a maximum zoom. NOTE: The Philips Autodome G3A has a 3.6 second delay at full optical zoom before activating the digital zoom. This constant should thus not be set too low (i.e. ensure a "rzoom=9999" at full optical zoom activates the digital zoom). |
1-600 |
Focus time | The calibration constant for focus changes (time in ms for maximum focus change). Higher values give greater focus changes. Calibrate by confirming that a maximum focus request (i.e "rfocus=9999") at one extreme (e.g. full focus far) takes you to the other. | 1-30000 |
Iris time | The calibration constant for iris changes (time in ms for maximum iris change). Higher values give greater iris changes. Calibrate by confirming that a maximum iris request (i.e."riris=9999") at one extreme (e.g. full iris close) takes you to the other. | 1-30000 |
Current field angle | The calibration constant for click-in-picture (center) movements. Higher values give greater movements. Calibrate at minimum zoom (i.e. zoom wide) and at the most commonly used speed, by making sure that clicking on an object brings the object to the center of the image. | 1-1800 |
Pan bar range | The range (in degrees) to use with panbar requests. Clicking at the very end of a bar will pan half this value in the corresponding direction. | 1-720 |
Tilt bar range | The range (in degrees) to use with tiltbar requests. Clicking at the very end of a bar will tilt half this value in the corresponding direction. | 1-720 |
Goto preset delay | Time (in seconds) it takes for the image to stabilize it self, after the camera has performed the longest "goto preset action". Used for disabling/enabling image analysis (e.g. motion detection). | 0-100 |
