Movement limits
The Min/Max Pan/Tilt angle parameters represents the angles that the protocol min/max values corresponds to.

The mechanical limits are used to limit the movement withing the min/max angles. This is useful if there is some form of obstacle within the cameras movement range. Setting these limits will stop the camera from moving beyond them, this is true for both absolute and relative movements aswell as continuous ones.
The limits are enforced within the camera hardware by updating the software pan/tilt limits.
Absolute movements
Focus/Zoom is sent for all absolute movements, if the attached camera doens't support either Zoom or Focus the Lens drive has to be inhibited according to the instructions under "Lens Configuration" in the manual. Otherwise the unit will not correctly detect when it has reached the requested positons.

Parameter Description Range
Device ID This is the address of the connected device. This value corresponds to the value of the address switches in the connected device. 1-254

Driver Specific Settings
Parameter Description Range
NumberOfPresets The number of device presets positions available in the device. A unit might not be able to handle all 255 presets due to lack off memory, but it will always support atleast 16 16-255
MinPanAngle The minumum pan angle times 10. This represents how far to the left the device can go. -1800 - 1800
MaxPanAngle The maximum pan angle times 10. This represents how far to the right the device can go. -1800 - 1800
MinTiltAngle The minumum tilt angle times 10. This represents how far down the device can go. -1800 - 1800
MaxTiltAngle The maximum tilt angle times 10. This represents how far up the device can go. -1800 - 1800
IgnorePanTiltSoftStop Check this to prevent the driver from sending pan/tilt limit to units who does not support this command. true, false

Mechanical limits
Movement Limits Minimal value Maximal value Comment
Left -180 180 Limits how far the unit is allowed to move. This affect both absolute, relative and continuous movements. Useful for making sure that the unit doesn't collide with stationary objects
Right -180 180 Limits how far the unit is allowed to move. This affect both absolute, relative and continuous movements. Useful for making sure that the unit doesn't collide with stationary objects
Up -180 180 Limits how far the unit is allowed to move. This affect both absolute, relative and continuous movements. Useful for making sure that the unit doesn't collide with stationary objects
Down -180 180 Limits how far the unit is allowed to move. This affect both absolute, relative and continuous movements. Useful for making sure that the unit doesn't collide with stationary objects
Zoom Limits
Zoom wide 1 9999
Zoom tele 1 9999
Focus Limits
Focus near 1 9999
Focus far 1 9999
Optical Data
Min field angle 1 1000 Degrees. Min field angel is at max optical zoom.
Max field angle 1 1000

The optical data limits are used to tune image centering:
  1. Zoom out completely and adjust Max Field Angle until the spot you click becomes centered accurately.
  2. Zoom in completely and repeat for Min Field Angle.
