FIRMWARE RELEASE NOTES ====================== Products affected: AXIS P5532 PTZ Dome Network Camera Release date: 2010-05-27 Release type: Production Firmware version: 5.15 File name: P5532_5_15.bin Preceding release: AMC version: 5.6.2.11-1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ==================== The firmware can be upgraded using Axis Camera Management 3.0, HTTP or FTP. Please follow the instructions from the user's manual, the web page at http://www.axis.com/techsup/cam_servers/how_to_upgrade.htm or the file named howtoupgrade.txt. RELEASE 5.15 ============== 5.15 is the first official release for the AXIS P5532. Added features ============== Known limitations ================= 5.15:L01 SMTP authentication does not work with IPv6. 5.15:L02 In Internet Explorer 6, the live view may stop when pressing buttons in the live view interface. 5.15:L03 There is no error feedback when a corrupted uploaded audioclip is played. 5.15:L04 Limiting the bandwith to lower than 100kbit/s may lead to sporadically losing contact with the camera 5.15:L05 When the camera is in RFL-mode (after a failed upgrade), flash loading it with Firefox will sometimes not work. Use Internet Explorer instead. 5.15:L06 Live view does not work with QuickTime 7.6.4 5.15:L07 Events triggered by multiple input ports may not always work. 5.15:L08 Ejecting the SD card while a recording is writing to it may lead to a corrupted file system and all data on the SD card may be lost. 5.15:L09 Recording to a slow SD card or with high frame rate or low compression may lead to the recording becoming "choppy" due to bandwith limitation. 5.15:L10 When recording to SD disk and the recording file reaches 2GB in size the recording will be stopped and the file will not be seekable. 5.15:L11 The camera can not play an audio clip while a viewer is sending/ receiving audio from the camera. 5.15:L12 When the automatic IR cut filter enables/disables the IR cut filter it may trigger motion detection. 5.15:L13 Image freeze may take up to 30 seconds after a pan/tilt/ zoom movement is completed to "unfreeze" because it is waiting for autofocus to stabilize. 5.15:L14 An uploaded audio clip must be less than 1.5MB. 5.15:L17 An uploaded bitmap overlay is made partially transparent unconditionally. 5.15:L18 To playback Matroska files generated by the camera on a computer you need to have the configuration file ('.conf') in the same folder as the Matroska file ('.mkv') to be able to play it. For more information see: http://www.axis.com/techsup/software/matroska/files/readme.txt 5.15:L19 With audio enabled, the initial connection latency is increased. 5.15:L20 If you do both unregister and register to Axis Internet Dynamic DNS really fast, a critical message will be shown in the log: "Failed to write to file. Broken pipe." 5.15:L21 No more than 4 privacy masks can be placed so close together that they are in the same view at any given time. 5.15:L22 Pan/tilt coordinate directions presented in the text overlay (#x #y) will not be rotated along with the image when rotation is 180. 5.15:L23 The image is always showed with zero rotation at the Motion Detection and OSDI Zone Setup. 5.15:L24 Stream profile names are limited to alphanumerical characters. 5.15:L25 When an event or event server is added, modified or deleted all running events will be stopped and restarted. 5.15:L26 If RTSP authentication is switched off, streaming H.264 with QuickTime and other Apple compatible clients will not work as they require authentication of the RTSP, but do not allow HTTP authentication. 5.15:L27 A few black pixels can be seen in right edge of the picture in NTSC cameras. 5.15:L28 When limiting the gain to 0dB the picture can appear darker then expected. Problem not visible when allowing a little gain, ~5-10dB.
